Coronavirus Romania: New Number of New Cases from May 25, 2021

Coronavirus Romania New Number of New Cases from May 25, 2021

A new number of new cases of Coronavirus was announced by the authorities in Romania, and we are again talking about news that shows us that the Coronavirus pandemic is evolving in the right direction, with decreases in the number of positive cases in our country.

The situation seems to be improving including in hospitals, where there are fewer and fewer people hospitalized in intensive care, in normal wards, but also fewer and fewer deaths, a sign that the pressure on the health system is decreasing in our country.

The vaccination campaign is still not going in the direction desired by the authorities, and this is because the number of vaccinations with the first dose against the Coronavirus is constantly decreasing, so new strategies are being thought of to improve the evolution.

"Until today, May 25, on the territory of Romania, 1.076.154 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

1.035.115 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 381 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
