Coronavirus Romania: New Number of New Cases from May 27, 2021

The new number of new cases of infection with the Coronavirus was officially announced today for the authorities throughout Romania, and we are talking about the same good situation that has been registered for some time now for our country, something that may not change until the autumn.

Hospitals no longer feel the same major pressure due to the Coronavirus pandemic in this period, and this is reflected not only in the number of patients hospitalized in intensive care, but also in the daily number of deaths, so that the small number of cases has brought an improvement in the situation here as well.

The vaccination campaign has a restart today thanks to the launch of the new strategy to convince people to get vaccinated, and above you can see the main video clip intended to convince people to do this in the next period.

"Until today, May 27, on the territory of Romania, 1.076.840 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

1.036.646 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 307 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. *Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
