Coronavirus Romania: New Number of New Cases from May 30, 2021

Coronavirus Romania New Number of New Cases from May 30, 2021

The new number of new cases of Coronavirus in Romania confirms to us that the situation is still surprisingly good, and this in the conditions in which we see such low numbers for more than a week now, they also seem to be decreasing during this period.

The pressure on hospitals has been substantially reduced in recent weeks, with fewer and fewer people hospitalized in intensive care, and fewer and fewer deaths, a sign that things are going much better for the health system, the evolution of the pandemic being influenced by the vaccination of people.

The vaccination campaign is still not going as well as it was just a few weeks ago, the number of those immunized with the first dose being smaller from one week to the next, and if this situation does not change, then it is not excluded that in in the fall we will see a new wave of infections.

"Until today, May 30, on the territory of Romania, 1.077.584 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

1.039.173 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 158 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
