Coronavirus Romania Number of Cases Officially Announced on June 4, 2021

The number of new cases of Coronavirus officially announced on June 4, 2021 by the Romanian authorities shows us that we are talking about a very good direction in which everything is heading at the moment, which is good for our country.

In hospitals, we are still talking about a much better situation than in the past, with much less pressure on all units, but also with a decreasing number of deaths, all thanks to the decreasing number of cases in recent weeks.

The vaccination campaign is not going in the right direction at the moment, the figures regarding daily vaccinations with the first dose are still low, which represents a very serious problem that the authorities must solve as quickly as possible.

"Until today, June 4, on the territory of Romania, 1.078.563 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

1.041.924 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 225 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. *Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates."
