Coronavirus Romania: New Number of New Cases on June 7, 2021

Coronavirus Romania New Number New Cases June 7, 2021

The new number of new cases of Coronavirus in Romania continues to show us what we already knew for a very long time, namely the fact that things have calmed down, Alexandru Rafila also stating that there is no more community transmission in our country.

The pressure on the hospitals has decreased considerably, and the number of deaths has decreased to the same extent, but during this period the authorities add the unreported deaths during the last year, so that there are still large numbers, but not based on the current cases.

The vaccination campaign seems to have reached an impasse with the decreasing numbers in terms of the daily number of vaccinations, and this can be a major problem in the fall, as the Indian strain of the Coronavirus is already starting to cause big problems in Europe.

"Until today, June 7, on the territory of Romania, 1.078.952 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

1.043.171 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 89 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

** The total number of cases related to Suceava county has been updated.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties.
