Coronavirus Romania New Number of New Cases Announced on June 12, 2021

Everything is proceeding without change in terms of the evolution of the Coronavirus pandemic in Romania, and we are getting close to falling below 100 new cases announced daily, which could happen this weekend, given the way things have unfolded .

Considering that the pressure on hospitals has decreased, some returned the ATI COVID wards to use for regular cases, the number of deaths also dropping substantially, only the reporting of those not classified correctly in 2020 keeping these figures at a high level.

The vaccination campaign is not going in the right direction, the number of those vaccinated with the first dose against the Coronavirus being very low compared to what was recorded a few weeks ago, and if something does not change, in the fall we could see a new wave of infections.

"Until today, June 12, on the territory of Romania, 1.079.657 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

1.044.000 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 127 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.  *Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:"
