Coronavirus Romania: New Number of New Cases from June 14, 2021

Coronavirus Romania Noul Numar de Cazuri Noi din 14 Iunie 2021

The new number of new cases of Coronavirus from June 14, 2021 was officially announced, and we are talking about a very good further evolution for our country, the numbers being very small, which suggests that the vaccination campaign has worked so far.

There is no more pressure on the hospitals, the daily number of deaths has decreased, even if there are still reports of some wrongly classified in the past, the situation being substantially better than just two months ago, when we had thousands of daily cases.

The vaccination campaign is still not going in the same positive direction, unfortunately, the number of people immunized daily with the first dose is decreasing, with less than 10.000 being immunized yesterday, the first time the number drops so much in 2021.

"Until today, June 14, on the territory of Romania, 1.079.776 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

1.044.404 patients were declared cured. Following the tests carried out at national level, compared to the last report, 50 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that no longer have previously had a positive test. *Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

**The total number of cases related to Timiș county has been updated.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties.
