Coronavirus Romania: New Number of New Cases from June 15, 2021

Coronavirus Romania New Number New Cases June 15, 2021

The number of new cases of Coronavirus in Romania is continuously decreasing, so we see a very positive evolution for the pandemic in our country, the decrease being due to a large extent including the vaccination campaign carried out so far.

In the case of hospitals, things are starting to return to normal, with fewer and fewer cases of hospitalized people, especially at ATI, the number of deaths falling as a result, even if during this period, wrongly classified deaths are reported in the past.

The vaccination campaign is not going as well, unfortunately, and this is because fewer and fewer vaccinations are being registered every day in Romania, the authorities trying to boost an increase in the number of immunizations, unfortunately.

"Until today, June 15, on the territory of Romania, 1.079.879 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

1.044.563 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 103 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
