Coronavirus Romania: New Official Number of New Cases from June 23, 2021

Coronavirus Romania New Official Number New Cases June 23, 2021

A new official number of new cases of infection with the new Coronavirus has been published by the authorities in our country, and we are talking about the same surprisingly good situation that has been registered for several weeks now in the country.

This huge decrease in the number of new cases of the Coronavirus has also brought greater peace in the hospitals, where normal activity could be resumed in many areas, the ATI departments returning to a large extent to their pre-pandemic activity, the number of deaths decreasing Consequently.

The anti-covid vaccination campaign is not going in the right direction at the moment, and this is because fewer and fewer Romanians are immunized every day, and this motivates the authorities to keep issuing warnings about the situation in the fall.

"Until today, June 23, on the territory of Romania, 1.080.389 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

1.045.303 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 66 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

**The total number of cases related to Bihor and Iași counties has been updated.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
