Coronavirus Romania New Number of New Holidays on June 28, 2021

The new number of new cases of Coronavirus announced on June 28 by the Romanian authorities confirms once again the good period that our country is going through in terms of the pandemic, the figures being much, much better than in the same period last year.

The situation in hospitals is also much, much, better than in the same period of last year, with fewer people being admitted to ATI, the number of deaths also being significantly lower, even if now there are reported deaths wrongly classified in the past.

The vaccination campaign needs changes to increase the number of people vaccinated with the first dose, so the authorities have prepared new information campaigns, so it remains to be seen what will happen in the next period.

"Until today, June 28, on the territory of Romania, 1.080.667 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

1.045.351 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 37 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 5 people were reconfirmed positive. The distribution of these cases by county can be found in the table below.

Until today, 33.311 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 27.06.2021 (10:00) – 28.06.2021 (10:00) 58 deaths (32 men and 26 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Constanța hospitals, were reported by the INSP. Maramureș and Prahova.

57 of these deaths are before the above-mentioned interval and were entered into the database, at the request of the Ministry of Health, by the Public Health Directorates in the country, following the checks carried out.

Thus, 1 of these occurred in August 2020, 1 in September, 7 in October, 25 in November 2020, 6 in December 2020, 2 in January 2021, 4 in February 2021, 9 in March 2021 and 2 in April 2021, in the counties of Maramureș and Prahova.

Among the 58 deaths, 1 was registered in the age category 40-49 years, 8 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 20 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 18 deaths in the age category 70- 79 years and 11 deaths in the over 80 age category.

All registered deaths are of patients who had comorbidities.

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 534. Of these, 86 are hospitalized at ATI.

Until this date, at the national level, 8.316.206 RT-PCR tests and 1.433.354 rapid antigen tests have been processed. In the last 24 hours, 4.533 RT-PCR tests (2.312 based on case definition and medical protocol and 2.221 on request) and 6.190 rapid antigen tests were performed.

On the territory of Romania, 1.906 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 839 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 18.533 people are in home quarantine, and 41 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

 

In the last 24 hours, 169 calls were made to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on June 27, 538 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 121.550 lei.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.

The calls are taken by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures to verify the reported aspects."
