Valeriu Gheorghita: Announcement regarding the Combination of Vaccine Doses in Romania

Valeriu Gheorghita made an important announcement regarding the combination of doses of the vaccine against the Coronavirus in Romania, the coordinating doctor of the CNCAV stating that this will be optional and not imposed by the authorities for Romanians who are immunized.

Valeriu Gheorghita says that several dozen requests have already been received from Romanians for immunization with a different dose of vaccine compared to the initial one, most of them unfounded from a medical point of view, but this procedure is still not allowed in Romania.

"Sure you do. No, it is not a scheme that will become mandatory. It is a scheme if the person chooses to do the second dose with a different vaccine - and we have requests for this, I mean there are several dozen people who have sent us requests for this, many of them medically unfounded, that is just as a result of anxiety related to the possibility of thrombotic side effects.

Of course, when there is no scientific data available, you cannot make decisions in this sense, because the responsibility is ultimately a medical one, it is an extremely serious one, and we cannot play with these scientific data and with decisions that do not have sufficient foundation ."
