The offering of the digital green certificate on July 1 seems to have been auspicious for Romanians, and this is because so far 750.000 people have downloaded these certificates to use them in the case of trips abroad.
"747.450 Romanians downloaded their digital certificate (centralized figures at 10:00 a.m.)! Most documents (96%) are for those who chose to be vaccinated. I am glad that the platform works well and the document is issued in just a few minutes.
However, there are also some situations in which the issuance of the document may take longer. Here's what to do if you find yourself in one of these situations.
Why does the system not issue my digital certificate, although the clinic sent me the test result?
The platform issues the certificates for people with a negative test only after the result has been entered by the clinic in the "Corona-Forms" database. It is possible that some data will be reported late and because of this your digital certificate will not be generated. The faster the result is validated in this database, the faster you can request your digital certificate. Without querying and confirming the result in this application, your document cannot be issued.
There is a six-week transition period from 1 July 2021 when both EU digital COVID certificates and other formats – the official certificates issued by medical authorities that show that a person is vaccinated or has a test – can be used negative.
Can I request a digital certificate also for rapid antigen test?
Of course! But you must keep in mind that the validity of the digital certificate for this epidemiological category is only 24 hours. In addition, you should know that the document will be issued to you only if the test is done in an accredited clinic and the result is registered in the "Corona-Forms" database.
Can I travel only with the vaccination certificate or covid test result?
You can also choose this option, but it is very important to check before you set off what the entry requirements are for the country you are going to visit. In addition, do not forget that there is a six-week transition period from 1 July 2021, during which both EU digital certificates on COVID and other formats can be used - the official certificates issued by medical authorities, attesting that a person is vaccinated or has a negative test. I was vaccinated in Romania with one dose, and the other was done in another country. How do I proceed?
To obtain the certificate for the complete vaccination schedule, you must contact the Support Center at phone number 021.414.44.25. The call centers will give you all the details about the documents you can send electronically. These will be analyzed by our specialists and if everything is in order, the second dose will be added to the system in Romania. In this way, the platform will recognize that you have made the complete scheme and you will be able to generate the document that is valid for one year.
What do I do if the digital certificate is wrong?
For difficulties encountered in issuing EU digital certificates regarding COVID, you should call the Support Center at number 021.414.44.25.
I went through the sickness and I was healed! I requested the digital certificate, but on the last trip the document could not be validated.
For this situation, the digital certificate regarding COVID is valid for 180 days from the first positive test. If you have traveled after this deadline, then the digital certificate is no longer valid. I remind you that there is a transition period of six weeks from 1 July 2021, during which both EU digital certificates on COVID and other formats can be used - the official certificates issued by medical authorities, attesting that a person is vaccinated or has a negative test.
