Coronavirus: Application for the Acceptance of Rapid Tests upon Entry into Romania

Coronavirus rapid test entry Romania

The National Association of Travel Agencies, ANAT, asks the authorities from all over Romania to make a very important change, more precisely to allow the entry of tourists into Romania based on the rapid, antigen tests, and not only the RT-PCR ones, which is already allowed in many other countries in the European Union.

If this request were to be approved, then Romanians who return to Romania from other countries should be able to enter only on the basis of a quick, antigen test, but still done at an authorized laboratory to be sure that the result is one obtained in correct way.

"In order to come to the aid of tourists who, for personal reasons, chose not to vaccinate, we ask for your support for supporting within the CNSU the introduction of rapid testing as an alternative method of access to the territory of Romania, to stimulate the attraction of foreign tourists and for to align with the majority of European states that already accept this testing method to allow unvaccinated people access to their territories.”
