The official number of new cases of Coronavirus from July 21, 2021 was published by the Romanian authorities and we are talking about a not very good evolution of the pandemic, especially since the daily number of cases increased by 40% from one week to the next.
For now, there is no pressure on the hospitals that treat patients infected with the Coronavirus, but the situation could change quickly if the number of new cases continues to increase, so the next weeks will determine the evolution of the situation.
The vaccination campaign is stagnating, without any significant increase in the number of vaccinations with the first dose, but the hope of the authorities is that in the next period the number of people immunized against the Coronavirus will increase.
"Until today, July 21, on the territory of Romania, 1.081.875 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.
1.046.952 patients were declared cured.
Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 102 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.
