Coronavirus Romania: Increase in the Number of New Cases on July 28, 2021

The Coronavirus pandemic is increasing in intensity in Romania during this period, with almost 200 new cases being announced yesterday, and by the end of the month we may surpass this figure, according to estimates from the authorities in our country.

For the time being, the situation in hospitals is calm, but the authorities expect the pressure to increase as the number of new cases of Coronavirus increases, and the Delta version already shows us that this is happening in our country, unfortunately.

The vaccination campaign is stagnating, something that does not come as too much of a surprise since we have been seeing this for several weeks, so it remains to be seen whether the Delta version will boost the rate of vaccination or not.

"Until today, July 28, on the territory of Romania, 1.082.710 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

1.047.444 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 159 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates."
