Coronavirus Romanians Vaccinated and Infected in the Last 7 Months

Vaccination against the Coronavirus is intended to protect people both against a possible infection and against a negative evolution in the case of infection, but it does not protect 100% against infection, something that has been said from the very beginning.

In this idea, in the last 7 months, i.e. since the vaccination campaign started, 0.47% of the people vaccinated with a single dose and 0.11% of those vaccinated with two doses became infected and were detected, percentages which should convince anyone that immunization is effective.

"Vaccination is safe and effective!
Between December 27, 2020 and July 31, 2021:
-23.784 people (0.47% of the total number of people vaccinated with the first dose) had a positive test for infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, after the administration of the first dose of vaccine;
-5.354 people (0.11% of the total number of people vaccinated with two doses) had a positive test for infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, after the administration of the second dose of the vaccine.
Between July 1 and 31, 2021, 2021:
-60 people had a positive test for infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, after the administration of the first dose of the vaccine (43.33% of the people did not show up for the second dose and were confirmed more than 28 days after the administration first dose).
-312 people had a positive test for infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, after the administration of the second dose of the vaccine (97.76% of people - 305 cases were confirmed more than 28 days after the administration of the second doses).
Vaccination remains the best solution for protection against COVID-19.
By vaccination against COVID-19:
- the risk of infection is reduced;
- the risk of virus transmission is reduced;
– the risk of hospitalization is considerably reduced;
- the risk of death is considerably reduced."
