Numarul de cazuri noi de Coronavirus este iar in crestere sustinuta in aceasta perioada, autoritatile din Romania anuntand in mod oficial astazi noi cifre mari care ne arata ca estimarile lui Valeriu Gheorghita conform carora vom ajunge la 1600 de cazuri noi pe zi in septembrie s-ar putea adeveri.
Ministerul Sanatatii a inceput deja sa evalueze situatia din spitale inainte ca valul 4 de infectari cu noul Coronavirus sa creasca si mai mult in intensitate si sa fie nevoie de mult mai multe paturi de terapie intensiva in Romania, acolo stand principala problema.
Campania de vaccinare trece si ea printr-o serie de schimbari menite sa aduca vaccinurile mai aproape de si mai multe persoane, dar ramane de vazut daca cifrele zilnice de imunizari vor mai creste, sau nu, in perioada urmatoare, sau vor ramane la fel.
"Until today, August 20, on the territory of Romania, 1.089.817 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.
1.051.504 patients were declared cured.
Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 628 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. *Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.
The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 97 people were reconfirmed positive. The distribution of these cases by county can be found in the table below.

Until today, 34.388 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
În intervalul 19.08.2021 (10:00) – 20.08.2021 (10:00) au fost raportate de către INSP 9 decese ( 4 bărbați și 5 femei), ale unor pacienți infectați cu noul coronavirus, internați în spitale din județele Argeș, Arad, Botoșani, Brașov, Constanța, Galați, Hunedoara, Prahova și Vaslui.
Dintre acestea, 3 decese a fost înregistrat la categoria de vârstă 60-99 ani, 3 la categoria de vârstă 70-79 ani și 3 la categoria peste 80 de ani.
All registered deaths are of patients who had comorbidities.
No deaths are reported prior to the reference interval.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 1.187. Of these, 167 are hospitalized at ATI.
Until this date, at the national level, 8.949.362 RT-PCR tests and 2.172.597 rapid antigenic tests have been processed. In the last 24 hours, 15196 RT-PCR tests (4.853 based on case definition and medical protocol and 10.343 on request) and 23.058 rapid antigen tests were performed.
On the territory of Romania, 3.277 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 1.258 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 64.327 people are in home quarantine, and 92 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 548 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 638 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on August 20, 417 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 106.400 lei.
We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.
