Romania 216.00 New Moderna Vaccine Doses Delivered in the Country

A shipment of 216.000 new doses of Moderna vaccine will arrive in Romania, this delivery raising the total to 2.256.000 doses of vaccine from this company, but of them, only 732.669 have been used so far.

"The quantity delivered to Romania consists of 216.000 doses of vaccine. Transport is provided by the producing company, and the vaccine doses will be brought to Bucharest by land.

The doses will be stored at Compania Națională "Unifarm" SA, and in the next period they will be distributed in the existing regional centers at the national level. The warehouse of the National Company "Unifarm" SA is fully authorized and approved by the Romanian National Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (ANMDMR), the national authority that has competence in the field of medicine for human use.

To date, 2.256.000 Moderna doses have been received, and 732.669 have already been used to immunize the population.

In Romania, the allocation of vaccine doses is carried out according to the delivery schedule provided by the manufacturing company, meaning that, periodically, our country receives the tranches of vaccine necessary to immunize the population.

The National Committee for the Coordination of Activities regarding Vaccination against COVID-19 is an inter-ministerial body, without legal personality, directly subordinated to the General Secretariat of the Government and coordinated by the Prime Minister."
