Minister of Education: Last Hour, Announcement of Important Decision for All Schools

Minister of Education Last Minute Announcement of Important Decisions All Schools

The Minister of Education is speaking to the millions of Romanians in our country about an extremely important decision that will apply to all schools in Romania, and this is because legal education is to be brought to educational institutions thanks to the success of a project called Be a Lawyer in Your School.

The Minister of Education has for some time been supporting bringing legal education to schools in Romania, and soon this will be part of the curriculum based on which students in our country's schools will study, and legal education can be extremely important for their future development, including towards college .

"Ever since 2014 I have supported the idea of legal education in schools, I thank those who made possible the implementation of this project, and the success is absolutely remarkable, to find in Bucharest 300 lawyers willing to contribute to the education of children is an extremely important thing of importance.

There are 1000 lawyers throughout the country, and it is important because legal education is a basic module in what we want to be "Education for life". It is important because too many people are good at too many things without having the necessary skills. Through legal education in schools, a level of knowledge in an extremely important field can contribute to the development of society.

I would put legal education in connection with one of the 8 key competences, civic competences, I think they are directly related, so they are defined in the set of key competences. The pilot schools project is a road opener, which through the implementation of the Educated Romania project at the legislative level will constitute the foundation of this project.

Thanks to the involvement of the Gheorghe Lazar School, the project convinced several schools that it is good to be open, that it is good to give more trust to schools, first of all to schools that have demonstrated that they deserve this trust. Be a Lawyer in Your School is a successful project, I'll say it again. I added to the title of the project Be a Lawyer in Your School, Respecting your teachers and colleagues.

Sometimes these disputes risk, of course not in this school, to go beyond the respect and trust that must be the basis of a quality education. It is a closing of the project, it is a moment when we mark the achievements of the first year, but for successful projects, the closing moment overlaps with the opening."
