The Minister of Health made two important announcements that are aimed at all Romanians throughout the country at the moment, and this is because he is telling people about a decision that was made officially, he is participating in an international conference in Cuba, where he will he also signed partnerships with local authorities.

The Minister of Health explains below the significance of the cooperation document that will be signed during this conference attended by 30 counterparts from all over the world, and separately a new case of monkeypox infection is confirmed in Romania, more details are in the information that is available below.

"The participation of Prof. Univ. Dr. Alexandru Rafila, at the 2022th International Conference "Cuba-Health 2022". Univ. Prof. Dr. Alexandru Rafila, is currently on an official visit to the Republic of Cuba. During his visit to the Republic of Cuba, Alexandru Rafila is participating in the 2030th International Conference "Cuba-Health 19", whose theme is: "Universal Health, as an integral part of the XNUMX Health Agenda, in the post-Covid- XNUMX".

This event is attended by delegates from over 80 countries, with the presence of 30 Ministers of Health and other leaders from the World Health Organization, the Pan American Health Organization and other international agencies. During the international conference, Professor Alexandru Rafila will give an intervention in the panel "Health policies in response to the 2030 Health Agenda within the Sustainable Development Goals". At the same time, tomorrow the signing of the Health Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Republic of Cuba will take place.

The document will regulate the legal cooperation framework in the field of health: public health services; prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, etc.). The Romanian-Cuban bilateral agreement includes, in addition to the exchange of information in the medical field between the two countries, study visits and the participation of specialists from both countries in scientific conferences.

Also, Alexandru Rafila's visit to the Republic of Cuba includes meetings with counterparts from the states of the Caribbean Region for the development of collaboration in the medical field. Univ. Prof. dr. Alexandru Rafila will also meet with the management of some hospitals in Havana, with the director of the pharmaceutical company BioCubaFarma and with the management of other local medical institutions. The development of extensive collaboration with the Republic of Cuba in the field of health and in the production of medicines represents a good model for the development of bilateral relations in the interest of patients from the two countries.

A new case of monkeypox has been confirmed in Romania. It is about a 44-year-old man from Bucharest. He is in good health and is in isolation. So far, 41 patients have been diagnosed with monkeypox in Romania. According to the National Institute of Public Health (INSP), a total of 6 people were vaccinated against monkey pox."
