Nicolae Ciuca Discussed the Expansion of the Strategic Partnership with the Prime Minister of Moldova

Nicolae Ciuca speaks below about the discussions with his counterpart from the Republic of Moldova for the expansion of the Strategic Partnership with Romania, in order to support the European integration of our neighboring country in the shortest possible time.

I had an applied and pragmatic dialogue with my counterpart from Chisinau, Dorin Recean, about the deepening and expansion of our Strategic Partnership for the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, but also about topics of common interest, including at the sectoral level.

We are with the citizens of the Republic of Moldova for a better life, through non-refundable financial assistance, the supply of electricity, fuel, other energy products, as well as the development of the energy infrastructure between the two states, through the capitalization of the Iasi-Ungheni-Chisinau gas pipeline.

We discussed the renovation, but also the construction of new bridges over the Prut River, the opening of new border crossing points and the implementation of the project related to coordinated border control.

We agreed together with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova and colleagues from Chisinau to identify new opportunities for development, to ensure their financing through bilateral contribution and to encourage investments.

Through the support we offer and our expertise, we want to facilitate the process of accession and connection of the Republic of Moldova with the European space. It is not an easy road, but it is a necessary and beneficial effort.

It is the only option that offers the citizens of the Republic of Moldova access to freedom, stability, prosperity, to a life in dignity. The capital of unprecedented sympathy at the European and international level that the Republic of Moldova enjoys must continue to be fruitful in order to build a safer, more prosperous, European country and transform it into a provider of stability in the region, in the interest of its citizens and, likewise, of the European Union.
