He immediately diagnosed Simon and made it clear – he needed to get to a hospital. Simon had a 99 percent blockage near his heart. Had they not gotten to the hospital that day, there was a good chance, he would have died.

“Had Larry not sent that message I don’t think Simon would have gone to the doctor that day,” Beth says. “I’ve gotta buy that man a beer, he saved my life…I’d really like to put my arms around him and give him a big squeeze,” Simon says. “Had I not had that random opponent all that time ago. I just think Beth and I were meant to meet on this game,” says Simon’s wife, Georgie Fletcher. “I owe Larry everything…I’m really lucky to be here,” admits Simon.
