Toshiba will launch this spring a new tablet called The Toshiba Tablet and the company thought that the best way to promote it would be to launch a website to highlight the shortcomings of the iPad tablet. The new tablet from Toshiba will have a 10.1 inch screen, will run Android OS, have flash and will give users the opportunity to browse the Internet "freely". Toshiba made the site in flash and when accessing it from an iDevice you will be "received" with the message in the image below.

The tablet looks quite ok in terms of design and has some technical specifications much better than the iPad tablet, but we don't know if they are better than the iPad 2 tablet. Let's see what The Toshiba tablet will bring:

  • Android Honeycomb – specially made for tablets;
  • 10.1 inch capacitive screen with a resolution of 1280×800 (720p after them), aspect ratio 16:10;
  • Nvidia Tegra 2 platform, i.e. 1Ghz processor and probably 512MB Ram;
  • 2 megapixel front camera and 5 megapixel normal camera;
  • ports: HDMI, USB, SD;
  • stereo speakers;
  • replaceable battery.

Motorola hit all of Apple's hot spots, including the screw issue pentalobular which prevents users from taking apart their Macs and iDevices to repair them. To be honest, I really like advertising and I like that some companies have the courage to "take on" Apple for its policies!
