T-Mobile Germany opens a pre-order session for the iPhone 5 - CONFIRMED

Although officially from Apple we do not have any news about the launch of the iPhone 5 terminal, apparently T-Mobile Germany has opened a pre-order session for the launch of the new device. The information comes from a Italian site who claims that on the T-Mobile website there is a section where the operator's customers can reserve an iPhone 5 terminal for the official launch. Checking the operator's website, I didn't discover any kind of page like this and no kind of promotional material for the iPhone 5. The lack of promotion lies in the fact that the operator would offer the possibility to pre-order directly from user accounts and only for certain subscribers.

For now, no website in Germany has confirmed the news, so I can only tell you that it is a rumor at the moment. I could not believe that a mobile phone operator would start a pre-order session for the iPhone 5 before Apple announces it, but anything is possible.

UPDATED: A spokesperson for T-Mobile a confirmed for the Bloomberg publication that the mobile phone operator will take pre-orders for iPhone 5 starting today! Considering the actions of T-Mobile, the launch of iPhone 5 could take place in the near future!

Deutsche Telekom AG (DTE) will allow customers to reserve the next generation of Apple Inc. (AAPL)'s iPhone as of today in anticipation of supply bottlenecks for the device, spokesman Alexander von Schmettow said by phone.

The operator will hand out coupons to people who expressly request the successor model to the iPhone 4, without providing the name or release details of the device, he said.
