250 million iDevices sold, 500.000 applications available in the App Store

During this evening's conference, Tim Cook announced that over 250 million iDevices were sold globally by the company from Cupertino. The figure is more than 25 million units higher than the one presented at WWDC 2011 and represents a huge increase compared to previous years, and everything is due to the iPad tablet, the iPhone 4 terminal and of course the App Store.

If we are still talking about the App Store, I would like to inform you that there are over 500.000 applications available in the application store, of which 140.000 are only for the iPad. In terms of downloads, Scott Forstall announces that over 1 billion applications are downloaded monthly and 18 billion have been downloaded so far by users.
