OS X Mavericks reveals the possible release of an iMac equipped with Retina Display

Apple avoided implementing a Retina Display in the series of iMacs launched last year, but this could happen this year, or maybe next year. The background image of OS X Mavericks denotes the fact that an iMac equipped with Retina Display is taken into account by the Apple company, the respective image resolution perfectly matching the one that Apple could implement in such a product. At the moment, the 27-inch iMac has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and the 5120 x 2880 image resolution is exactly double the standard one, so it would fit perfectly.

Even if this is not a definite confirmation of the fact that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will launch a iMac equipped with Retina Display in the near future, it is clear that Apple is working on such a product.
