4G voice calls - when will we be able to make them?

4G voice calls or voice over LTE it basically represents the possibility of making phone calls even when we are connected to a 4G network. If you use a 4G network for some time, then you know for sure that when you initiate or receive a phone call, your terminal it automatically switches to the 3G network of the mobile operator. This change is made because for now no operator in Romania allows the performance of a4G voice calls and won't allow it in the immediate future either.

Based on the statements of Ştefan Slavnicu, the new CTO of Orange Romania, Support 4G voice calls it will be implemented when there will be enough terminals compatible with this standard. Of course, no date has been given for its implementation and it is unlikely that the mobile operators know from now on when they will be able to offer this system to the general public, but they are definitely testing terminals capable of performing 4G voice calls, terminals that will be available in the future.

Now you will probably say that you don't lose anything if you don't perform 4G voice calls, but there is one major disadvantage of the system figure. Switching the connection from 4G to 3G it is done quickly when receiving or initiating a phone call, but the reverse process is the problem. After finishing a phone call, reconnecting to the 4G network can take up to several tens of seconds, in some cases this process leaves you without an Internet connection, for example. In other cases, it is necessary to activate and deactivate Airplane Mode, iPhones having the biggest problems with this system.

To be honest, I don't know how long it will be until we have it Volta, but I hope it will come as soon as possible. If you are interested, here you can find details about 4G coverage of the new networks of: Orange, Vodafone si Cosmote.
