Jailbreak iOS 8.1 – Cydia 1.1.15 update is available and solves performance issues

Jailbreak iOS 8.1 had a new update last night, Cydia 1.1.15 being released by saurik to fix some of the issues with the previous version released last night. The new version of the app fixes issues with opening the app, some users reporting it crashing, fixes issues with the orientation being displayed correctly, and finally fixes an issue with the menu listing packages installed through the app being displayed correctly.

  • Fix incompatibility with cache wipers (such as iCleaner) that cause Cydia to crash when you try to run it afterwards.
  • Correct rotation to only on tablets to match Apple's UI style guidelines.
  • Make Installed tab icon consistent.

Although the Cydia app has been updated and fixes various issues, unfortunately the new version disables the ability to view information in landscape mode on any iDevices other than 6 iPhone Plus and iPad tablets. Having said that, it is advisable to install Cydia 1.1.15 in your own terminals, but if it does not start you will have to do a restore and you will have to follow the jailbreak procedure again.

Cydia is not supposed to work in landscape mode on any devices other than iPads and the iPhone 6+. This was a bug :(.
