Daca Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), did not provide clear sales data Apple Watch, analysts from all over the world competed to provide various estimates regarding the number of units bought by fans of the American company in Q2 2015.
According to these estimates, Apple Watch would have sold no less than 3.6 million units worldwide in the fiscal quarter that began on April 1 and ended on June 30, so only two weeks of it did not have Apple Watch available for purchase.
Comparing this figure with that of other similar products, Fitbit is currently superior to Apple with 4.4 million units sold, Xiaomi being placed below Apple with 3.1 million units sold, while Samsung would have sold only 0.6 million units.
Apple would have a market share of 19.9% in the wearables segment, almost 5% lower than that of FitBit, but 2.8% higher than that of Xiaomi, those from Samsung having a market share of only 3.3 %, 6 times lower than that of Apple.
Apple Watch generated revenues of over 1 billion dollars in the first 2 and a half months of availability, so Apple managed to make the product quite attractive, although it still has a lot to change to turn it into a "blockbuster" .
