Calvin Klein and 110 other famous designers support Apple in the fight with Samsung

On Monday, the US Supreme Court of Justice is going to take a decision on Samsung's application regarding the annulment of a decision of an American court on the basis of which the Apple company was awarded damages worth more than 1 billion dollars after Samsung copied certain invention patents.

Those from Samsung have already paid half of this amount after they managed to reduce the initial value by half through various processes, but now they are trying to convince the Supreme Court of Justice to cancel this amount already paid, and Apple to return the money paid to them because the amount would not have been calculated correctly.

In support of Apple's claims, which demands that Samsung's claims be rejected, no less than 111 internationally renowned designers or professors of industrial design come, among them Calvin Kelin, Dieter Rams, Lord Norman Foster, the support offered by them being able to have a fairly high value in front of the court.

The reality is that Apple and all these people claim that patent protection is essential for all companies that invest billions of dollars in research and development to continue to do so, copying patented technologies leading to the avoidance of future investments if all these copycats are not punished.

Whether everything will have the desired effect or not, we will find out on Monday, when the Supreme Court of Justice will debate the case.
