Facebook launches 3D effects for the camera

Facebook announced today the implementation of new functions for the application dedicated to our iDevices, and here we are talking about something else taken from Snapchat. The first of the functions is for the camera, the Facebook application now allows us to apply animated 3D effects over our already recorded photos and videos.

What's more, the new Facebook photo features allow us to apply face filters, stickers, texts, drawings and more to photos, even while we're recording them. Pictures taken using these new functions can be shared with any of our friends, or just some of them, so we have total control over privacy.

Separately, the new function for the Facebook application allows us to create stories, like in Snapchat, which are temporarily displayed for some of our friends. For these stories we can add various pictures and video clips, the previous editing options being also available in this interface for the functions dedicated to the stories section.

Basically, Facebook copied without remorse everything that the Snapchat application has to offer, and this for the fourth time in its applications available for mobile terminals. If you have used any of the stories functions available in any Facebook application, then you will also know how to use the new one, available soon to everyone.

"The Facebook camera is packed with dozens of effects like masks, frames and interactive filters that you can apply to your photos and videos. Reactive effects let you interact with dynamic objects—like falling snow—and style effects apply an artistic filter to your video in real time, letting you turn your everyday selfie into a Picasso-style work of art.”
