Newton is one of the first attempts of the Apple company to create a tablet, this product being launched approximately 24 years ago, but of course it was not quite so successful. In order to show how much Apple products have evolved in 24 years, a YouTuber created the video clip below comparing the two types of Apple products.
In 2017 the iPad Pro 10.5 inch is seen as a possible replacement for the computer, while 24 years ago the Newton was not nearly as well regarded by the press. In this period, however, the Apple company managed to realize that the world needs tablets to replace computers to a good extent, otherwise they will no longer be bought and they are getting close to that.
iPad Pro 10.5 inch has performances very close to those of a computer, but the functionality is still far from that of a real computer. In this idea, it remains to be seen how iPad tablets will evolve in the future, but without being able to run macOS, they will never be as useful as a computer.
