Apple: This is how BIG the Fleet of Autonomous Cars is

Apple is investing more and more money in the fleet of autonomous cars, those from Cupertino increasing the number of cars that circulate on the streets of the USA.

Apple MARE Fleet of Autonomous Cars

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), invests massively for the development of autonomous guidance software for cars, the company giving up for some time the plan to produce its own car. In order to still be able to develop such software, those from Apple also need a very large fleet of cars on American roads, and at the moment it has 55 cars.

The American transport authorities have confirmed that Apple has 55 autonomous cars authorized to circulate on the streets of California, with 83 drivers being associated with them. We're talking about a large fleet that Apple uses to develop its self-driving software for cars, but that's normal, since it's so important.

Apple: This is how BIG the Fleet of Autonomous Cars is

Apple is currently testing autonomous cars that have drivers inside, so for now it does not have cars that can actually drive themselves on the roads, the software probably not being !00% ready for that. The number of cars in Apple's fleet has increased by 10 cars since January and until now, a sign that things are getting more serious for those from Cupertino.

"It seems that Apple is growing its fleet of self-driving test cars. Apple has, again, expanded its fleet of autonomous cars in California. Apple Apple now has 55 vehicles and 83 drives under its permit to test autonomous vehicles, the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) said in an emailed response to questions."

Apple is developing an autonomous guidance system for cars that it will then sell to other car manufacturers, who will use it in their own products. Of course, many years will pass until Apple will have such software ready for car manufacturers, so it remains to be seen what Apple will manage to do and how long it will take, in the end.
