WhatsApp is the most popular messaging application on the planet, and if you use it today, it's good to know about a very serious warning made by Facebook for everyone. More precisely, some time ago the American company announced that anyone using an unofficial application that allows access to the WhatsApp platform risks having their account temporarily suspended, or even permanently blocked, without warning.
WhatsApp extend the sanctions including to applications that promise to transfer conversations between phones, these are also considered malicious for the platform, so their use will attract the suspension of the account. We are talking here about a temporary suspension, the duration of which is not mentioned by WhatsApp, but it can be any duration from a few hours to a few days or weeks, all without any prior warning.
WhatsApp suspends accounts for which chat transfer applications are used
WhatsApp took this decision because of the numerous applications that are used to steal accounts, or to spread spam within the platform used by almost 2 billion people from the entire planet. The decision to protect its platform leaves WhatsApp users with only one possibility to transfer their conversations between phones, and that involves using the system integrated in the application, so nothing else external.
Apps that are not allowed, such as WhatsApp Plus, GB WhatsApp, or those that claim to transfer your WhatsApp conversations from one phone to another, are modified versions of WhatsApp. These unofficial apps are created by third parties and violate our Terms of Use. WhatsApp does not support such third-party apps as we cannot verify their security practices.
WhatsApp it started for some time to block third-party applications that facilitated access to its platform, so it was expected that the same thing would happen to those that promised to transfer conversations. Of course, many of them didn't work, and were just spam applications, and WhatsApp was obliged to block the accounts of some regular users, but now it has coverage for this practice as well, announcing it officially.
WhatsApp she also announced that she will sue the people who try to harm her network, so we might see how far she is willing to go to protect them.
