Huawei has launched AX3 WiFi routers including in Romania

Huawei WiFi router AX3

Huawei announced today the launch in Romania of a new router model, quad-core, AX3, which also offers compatibility with the Wi-Fi 6 standard.

"Bucharest, July 27, 2020 - Huawei Consumer Business Group announces the launch of the latest Huawei WiFi AX3 series, optimized for Wi-Fi 6 standards. The company capitalized on its accumulated expertise in 5G, recognized for its important role in the formulation of Wi-Fi 6 standards , by developing a revolutionary technology that facilitates chip-level collaboration between the router and many other devices. The new product will be available locally from July 27, at the following recommended prices, depending on the specifications: 499 lei (VAT included) for the AX3 Quad-Core model, respectively 349 lei (VAT included) for the AX3 Dual-Core model.

The Huawei WiFi AX3 series offers a powerful Wi-Fi 6 Plus connection when used with HUAWEI devices. As a connection hub for the revolutionary HUAWEI 1+8+N strategy for smart life for all scenarios, the Huawei WiFi AX3 offers HUAWEI HomeSecTM security guarantees at a financial level, providing users with an intuitive, fast, stable Wi-Fi 6 connection and safe at all times.

Huawei Wi-Fi 6 Plus breaks down barriers with narrow dynamic bandwidth
Huawei WiFi AX3 routers are equipped with HUAWEI's exclusive Gigahome processor and Gigahome Wi-Fi 6 chipset. Based on Wi-Fi 6 standards, the company has integrated multi-chip collaborative technology to ensure that Huawei WiFi AX3 offers "Wi-Fi 6 Plus" at double network speed, along with improved wall penetration capabilities, when when the router is used with other Huawei Wi-Fi 6 devices.

The Gigahome Wi-Fi 6 chipset made this solution possible by improving the frequency bandwidth by up to 160 MHz, as well as by realizing automatic packet fragmentation in narrowband mode through dynamic narrowband technology. This resulted in the stabilization of the useful frequency bandwidth at 2 MHz, for a seamless wall-penetrating network signal. In short, users can enjoy a faster network near the device and more stable connections over longer distances.

The quad-core version of the Huawei WiFi AX3 series also supports Huawei Share. By simply touching an NFC-enabled Android phone to the router's NFC detection area, users can connect directly to the Wi-Fi network without the need for a password. This feature is very useful for hotels or restaurants, saving time and avoiding the difficulty and inconvenience associated with requesting and entering a complicated password for guests.

In addition to the exclusive dynamic narrowband technology, the quad-core version includes four independent signal amplifiers (two for the dual-core version), enabling a mesh network for multiple HUAWEI routers, compatible with both wireless, wired, as well as with hybrid wireless + cable, which extend access to the network in every corner of the house or office.

In the process of making the Huawei WiFi AX3 Pro, the factors that slow down the speed of the wireless network have been considered, so the routing system at the application, driver and kernel levels has been improved, establishing a test pattern for a period of two years, to ensure long-term stability.

The quad-core Huawei WiFi AX3 version also includes HUAWEI HomeSecTM security protections. An independent security zone (TEE trusted execution environment) was integrated into the Gigahome quad-core chip, and the TrustZone security solution was built from the microkernel. This solution has achieved Evaluation Assurance Level-5 (EAL5) certification from Common Criteria, a globally recognized IT product certification organization, which once again confirms the financial security guarantees of the product.

HUAWEI's commitment to eliminate network gaps in the era of Wi-Fi 6
Due to its deep understanding of 5G technologies, HUAWEI contributed significantly to the Wi-Fi 6 standard. The company's experts chaired five Wi-Fi standard working groups, with Dr. Osama Aboul-Magd as the chairman of the Wi-Fi 6 standard working group (802.11ax ). In addition, HUAWEI submitted 240 new Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) proposals, accounting for 15% of all proposals, more than any other device manufacturer. The company introduced Wi-Fi 6 and many advanced 5G technologies.

Thanks to its long-term investment in Wi-Fi 6, HUAWEI offers devices that support Wi-Fi 6 standards and integrate unique collaboration technologies using its Gigahome Wi-Fi chips. Thus, Wi-Fi 6 devices provide an optimal user experience.

A leader in Wi-Fi 6 technology, HUAWEI proposes a medium and long-term strategy for creating a smart life for consumers in the next 5-10 years, based on the "1+8+N" strategy that focuses on five major scenarios. In this strategy, Wi-Fi routers play a fundamental role in the connection center category, providing a simple, high-speed, stable and secure Wi-Fi connection, which is vital for a high-quality smart life, which is the long-term goal of the company.

HUAWEI has invested tens of millions of dollars in the development of dedicated chips for routers. Through the combination of software and hardware at the lower level of the chips, the company has eliminated more than 80% of the problems related to freeze frames, lags and disconnections. In addition to the AX3 series, HUAWEI will continue to use Gigahome chipsets for subsequent products as well. The company has also built a Wi-Fi Capability Center in Wuhan, which houses the most demanding testing environment in the global router industry, meaning HUAWEI devices can be rigorously tested before they are available to consumers.”
