Coronavirus Romania: New Cases, Cures from February 12, 2021

Coronavirus Romania New Cases Cured February 12

The Corona virus pandemic in Romania remains on a plateau phase, although hundreds of cases of infection with the new virus have already been discovered in schools in Romania, but their effect will not be seen right now, but for at least 2 weeks.

On the other hand, there is stability in terms of the cases hospitalized in intensive care, without seeing large increases in this period, but the number of deaths is still at a low level, all because the number of cases in last weeks it was reduced.

The vaccination campaign is still not progressing as it should, and although more than 1 million doses have been administered, unfortunately the number of those who are vaccinated for the first time is decreasing due to the lack of vaccine doses, which raises big problems.

"Until today, February 12, on the territory of Romania, 757.676 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

703.966 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 2.550 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. *Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Below you have the graph made based on the reports received by the CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
