The Ministry of Health reiterates what was already said to us by Prime Minister Florin Citu, stating that it is possible to waive the obligation to wear a protective mask in certain spaces for Romanians, apparently also the unvaccinated.
The Ministry of Health says that vaccinated Romanians should be able to sit without masks in offices, if everyone there is vaccinated, and they could enjoy other benefits such as going to restaurants, shows, and other activities that would have been dangerous if they were not vaccinated.
"It depends on where we give up the mask. I also encourage giving up the mask under certain conditions, outside closed spaces, in places that are not congested, and for these areas I think the deadline of August 1 is a feasible one.
I had a discussion on this topic with Prime Minister Cîţu today and we agreed that as we move forward with the vaccination campaign, we should start allowing the people who are vaccinated more freedom and return as quickly as possible to their pre-pandemic life. One of these ideas was precisely this permission for those who work in offices, if they are all vaccinated in a certain closed space, to be able not to wear a mask. declared the health minister on TVR."
