Ministry of Health Variant Delta Continue Spreading

The Ministry of Health informs us that the Delta variant continues to spread in Romania during this period, and this is a serious cause for concern because fewer and fewer people are being discovered who become infected, here are the details of the cases.

"Until August 15, 2021, 359 cases with the Delta variant have been confirmed:
37% (133 cases) are in 70 outbreaks, of which 59 are family (91 cases) and
11 communities (42 cases), from 18 counties: Alba (1), Argeș (5), Bacău (5), Brașov (2), Brăila (1), Botoșani (1), Buzău (2), Călărași (5) ), Constanța (2), Covasna (1), Dolj (5), Ilfov (6), Iasi (14), Olt (1), Teleorman (3), Timiș (2), Tulcea (1), Vrancea (1 ) and the municipality of Bucharest (12).
Among the outbreak cases, 14 had a history of travel/contact with a person arriving from Finland (1), India (5), Italy (1), Nepal (1), Portugal (1), Spain (2), Turkey (1), UK (2).
37,6% (135 cases) have no epidemiological link mentioned.
18,7% (67 sporadic cases) have a history of travel to other countries/in the country or a history of working in other countries: 21 in UK, 10 Spain, 5 Turkey, 4 Italy, 3 Bulgaria, 3 UAE, 3 France /Monaco, 3 Greece, 2 Ireland, 2 Romania, 1 Chile, 1 Egypt, 1 Germany, 1 Iraq, 1 Netherlands, 1 Republic of Moldova, 1 Tajikistan, 1 is an employee of an international car transport company, 1 is a pilot on routes international, 1 is a steward, 1 a taxi driver.
0,8% (3 cases) had contact outside the family with a confirmed case of COVID-19
identified.
1,9% (7 cases) refused to collaborate with DSP.
3,9% (14 cases) could not be contacted by the DSP.
Of the 359 confirmed cases with the Delta variant, 74 (20,6%) had been vaccinated:
3 incompletely and 71 fully vaccinated (19,8% of the total).
We remind you that one of the selection criteria of the COVID-19 cases for sequencing is vaccination, so the proportion of vaccinated cases from the total number of confirmed cases with the Delta variant does not reflect the situation in the general population, but in a selected group.
The range between the date of completion of full vaccination and the date of sample collection was 10–192 days, with a mean of 104 days and a median of 103 days.
