The last-minute meteorological warnings published by ANM, the National Meteorological Administration, cover all of Romania during August 30 and 31, and we are primarily talking about a yellow code warning due to temporarily heightened atmospheric instability.

ANM also issued an orange code for heavy rains in various regions of Romania during the next two days, and finally we have a yellow code for a heat wave that will be felt in certain regions of our country during the next hours.

CODE YELLOW WEATHER WARNING.

Targeted phenomena: temporarily increased atmospheric instability.

In the mentioned interval, locally in the south-west, south, north and north-east of the territory there will be periods of atmospheric instability which will be manifested by torrential showers, electrical discharges and intensification of the wind. In short periods of time, the amount of water will exceed 25...40 l/mXNUMX, and isolated there will be storms and hail.

Note: Periods of atmospheric instability will be until the end of this week in most regions.

ORANGE CODE.

Targeted phenomena: increased atmospheric instability - heavy rains.

In most of Transylvania, Oltenia, locally in the mountains, in Moldova and in the north-west of Muntenia there will be periods of torrential rains, and in short intervals or through accumulation, amounts of water of 40...60 l/ sq m and on restricted areas of over 70...80 l/sq m. They will also be associated with electrical discharges, wind intensifications and in places gales and hail.

On Tuesday (August 30), the heat wave will persist in the southeastern regions, where it will be hot locally, and thermal discomfort will be high. The temperature-humidity index (TUI) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units. Maximum temperatures will be between 34 and 37 degrees.
