Last-minute meteorological alerts from ANM, the National Meteorological Administration, warn Romanians about a series of very serious episodes of atmospheric instability during the next 24 hours, and below you can see how serious they will be, and what are the targeted areas.
ANM has issued two yellow and one orange codes in which it talks about quantitatively significant rains in its alerts, they also manifest in places through torrential showers, electrical discharges, hail, or blizzards, so you have to pay attention to what is happening throughout the country during the following hours in order not to be affected by the seriousness of these meteorological phenomena.
CODE YELLOW WEATHER WARNING!
Targeted phenomena: quantitatively significant rains.
Validity period: 17 September, 10:30 – 18 September, 12:00.
Affected areas: as per text and map.
In the mentioned interval, locally in the west, north, center of the country and in the mountains it will temporarily rain in significant quantity. Water quantities will exceed 25...30 l/sq m and isolated 40...50 l/sq m.
Note: In the southern and southeastern regions there will be periods when in some places the atmospheric instability will be accentuated and will be manifested by torrential showers, electrical discharges, hail and gales.
ORANGE CODE!
Targeted phenomena: heavy rains.
Validity period: 17 September at 12:00 – 18 September at 12:00.
Affected areas: as per text and map.
In the Western Carpathians, the west of the Southern Carpathians and the north of the Eastern Carpathians, as well as in the south of Banat, amounts of water will accumulate that will exceed 40...50 l/m60 and isolated 70...XNUMX l/mXNUMX.

Targeted phenomena: wind intensifications.
Validity period September 18, 02:00 – September 18, 20:00.
Affected areas: as per text and map.
Starting from the second part of the night from Saturday to Sunday, the wind will gradually intensify in all regions. In the south, the east, the center of the territory and in the mountains there will be speeds in general of 55...75 km/h, and on the ridges the gusts will exceed 80...100 km/h.
Note: The weather will cool sharply in all regions, becoming particularly cold in the west, north and center. In the high mountain area, transient, mixed precipitation will be reported.
