Apple a anuntat de curand ca a vandut peste 1 milion de dispozitive Apple TV 2G in doar 2 luni si jumatatea de la lansarea oficiala. Cifra este impresionanta avand in vedere ca vechiul model nu a avut parte nici pe departe de acelasi succes, ba din contra a fost catalogat de multi ca fiind un mare esec. Anyway, astazi aflam ca LG va prezenta luna viitoare la CES 2011 Smart TV Upgrader, un dispozitiv aproape identic, cu Apple TV 2G insa cu unele functii in plus.
Smart TV Upgrader – un nume foarte interesant care trebuie schimbat, zic eu, va avea un browser integrat pentru a permite navigarea pe web, insa in esenta va indeplini aceleasi functii precum Apple TV 2G, adica va permite vizionarea de continut media pe televizoare. Acest nou produs al LG va veni si cu cateva aplicatii special dezvoltate pentru el iar in urmatoarele luni e destul de posibil ca LG sa deschida un mic AppStore.

In ceea ce priveste configuratia hardware, Smart TV Upgrader are un mare dezavantaj fata de Apple TV 2G deoarece memoria interna de doar 1GB se va dovedi neincapatoare pentru aproape orice fel de continut HD, deci utilizatorii vor trebui sa faca streaming online pentru acest gen de filme. Lipseste google sa lanseze si ei un googleTV, in rest au inceput sa concureze mai peste tot cu apple. pc , telefon , ipod si tableta. Cine stie ce mai urmeaza din partea google
Imitațiile asiatice nu puteau să întârzie prea mult imediat ce s-a demonstrat că un device nou are succes. LG nici măcar nu e prima imitație, locul acela îi revine lui GoogleTV, alt fail al “noului Microsoft”.
Ce face omul face si maimuta(a se intelege Google si LG in cazul de fata).
Inainte de sarbatori, m-am hotarit sa cumpar un apple TV. Am colindat tot orasul, ( locuiesc in Sacramento California ) Am fost la Best Buy La Fry’s, la Apple Store, dar nu am gasit nici unul.Am intrebat de ce, si mi sa spus ca au fost retrase dar nu cunosc motivul.(cred ca mint, nu vor sa spuna adevarul – o fi din cauza jailbreak-ului ?) Stie cineva ceva, vreun zvon in legatura cu acest lucru? Anyway, l-am comandat de pe Amazon,si as dorii un sfat, pt a face jailbreak. Care este cel mai bun mod de al face? Multumesc si An Nou Fericit.
Deocamdata nu prea ai ce face cu jailbreak-ul ca nu exista aplicatii pentru el. Depinde ce iOS are.
