Intr-o recenta vizita facuta in Marea Britanie Joyn Ive, senior VP-ul diviziei de design din cadrul Apple, a declarat ca in momentul de fata Apple lucreaza la cele mai bune produse ale sale. Raspunsul a venit in urma unei intrebari care ii cerea sa numeasca cele mai interesante poduse concepute de catre el pentru Apple si era normal sa ofere un asemenea raspuns. Totusi, daca el are dreptate, atunci iPhone 5, noile Mac-uri si posibilul televizor dezvoltate de Apple se anunta a fi extrem de interesante.
It’s a really tough one. A lot does seem to come back to the fact that what we’re working on now feels like the most important and the best work we’ve done, and so it would be what we’re working on right now, which of course I can’t tell you about. We’re developing products in exactly the same way that we were two years ago, five years ago, ten years ago. It’s not that there are a few of us working in the same way: there is a large group of us working in the same way.
We have become rather addicted to learning as a group of people and trying to solve very difficult problems as a team. And we get enormous satisfaction from doing that. Particularly when you’re sat on a plane and it appears that the majority of people are using something that you’ve collectively agonised over. It’s a wonderful reward.
Partea interesanta este ca Jony Ive promoveaza ideea conform careia Apple functioneaza acum, la fel cum functiona si cand Steve Jobs era in viata. Lumea se astepta ca Apple sa functioneze asa, insa Tim Cook si-a pus amprenta asupra companiei si exista cu siguranta destule lucruri care s-au schimbat acolo. Pana una alta stiu ca multi dintre voi asteapta cu interes iPhone-ul cu ecran de 4 inch si MacBook-urile cu Retina Display, insa la WWDC 2012 ar trebui sa aflam cateva detalii in legatura cu ele.
