Un update dedicat Google Chrome pentru iOS a fost lansat in cursul acestei seri in App Store, compania Google implementand o serie intreaga de noutati interesante pentru posesorii de iDevice-uri. Pentru inceput, Google Chrome ofera interoperabilitate cu alte aplicatii Google, permite deschiderea de link-uri YouTube/Google Maps/Google+/Google Drive in aplicatiile dedicate si nu in browser, imbunatateste sistemul de cautari vocale, implementeaza optiunea de a vizualiza website-urile pe intreg ecranul tabletelor iPad, implementeaza un sistem de reducere a traficului facut in timpul navigarii pe web, creste viteza de incarcare a paginilor si permite accesarea istoriei de navigare pe web :
- Interoperability with other Google Apps
- Option to open links for YouTube, Maps, G+ and Drive in the app instead of the browser.
- Enhancements to voice search
- Text-to-speech for all variations of English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Japanese, and Korean.
- Toolbar controls are always available when using voice search
- Fullscreen on iPad
- Data cost savings
- Reduce data usage and speed up page load times. View data savings in Bandwidth Management settings. This feature is being rolled out and will be available to all users over time.
- Access to browser history
- Stability / security improvements and bug fixes
