Orange Romania becomes the first operator to offer 4G LTE coverage throughout Bucharest

  Orange Romania announced a few minutes ago that starting today it covers the entire city of Bucharest, together with the metropolitan area in the north of the capital, with its network LTE 4G. In this idea, Orange Romania becomes the first operator in our country to offer 4G coverage for the whole of Bucharest, others will soon have the same coverage. Apart from the city of Bucharest, Orange Romania also offers 4G coverage in the mountain resorts of Valea Prahivei, the speeds that customers can achieve being 75 Mbps download and 37.5 Mbps upload.

Orange customers have 4G coverage anywhere in Bucharest

Bucharest, October 2, 2013. Orange today announces the expansion of 4G coverage and becomes the first operator to offer its customers internet at 4G speeds throughout the capital. Starting this fall, all Orange customers, subscribers or users of Orange PrePay cards, have access to internet services at 4G speeds, both through compatible tariff plans and through dedicated options. Thus, Orange PrePay customers are the first prepaid card users in Romania who can surf the Internet at 4G speeds.

Also, Orange customers can buy 4G compatible smartphones and tablets at special prices: Nokia Lumia 625 for 49 euros and Blackberry Q5 for 129 euros with Panther 23, Samsung Galaxy SIII 4G for 0 euros with Business Open 45, Samsung Galaxy S4 at 0 euros withBusiness Open 65 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 4G tablet for 399 euros with the subscription ColibriExplore 15. The prices include VAT and are valid upon activation or extension for a period of 2 years of the mentioned subscriptions.

4G technology brings an even better experience when using the entertainment services that Orange Romania has in its portfolio, such as the service Deezer, through which customers can listen to over 25 million songs, and Orange TV Go, which offers access to television channels, movies and videos on PC, smartphone and tablet, anywhere and anytime.

Currently, Orange has 4G coverage in Bucharest and the metropolitan area in the north of the city, as well as in the mountain resorts of Prahova Valley, where it offers internet services at speeds of up to 75 Mbps for download and 37,5 Mbps for upload.
