David Guetta, Drake and Pharell Williams could be iTunes Radio DJs

David Guetta AppleDavid Guetta, Drake and Pharell Williams could be iTunes Radio DJs, Apple is currently in talks with the three stars to convince them to join its team. Apple hired British DJ Zane Lowe a few months ago, direct from BBC Radio One, to create predefined radio stations for iTunes Radio, and now it seems that it intends to bring other talents to the team that manages this service.

David Guetta, Drake and Pharell Williams are just some of the stars that Apple has contacted at the moment, some of them being chosen even to promote Apple Watch in various areas around the globe. Although it is not known for sure how much money each of the artists will receive for the collaboration with Apple, it is speculated that Drake would have asked no less than 19 million dollars to be a DJ of iTunes Radio and promote Apple or its services worldwide.

Apart from these, we learn that Apple's new audio streaming service, called Apple Music, will offer users a trial period of three months in which they will be able to test the system before paying a subscription. Apple is asking the major record companies in the US to provide the music from the system for free, but it remains to be seen if Apple's future partners will agree to this proposal.

iTunes Radio and Apple Music are and will remain separate services of the Apple company, and for each of them the American company seems to be interested in hiring specialized people to manage music. Considering the importance of those contacted by Apple, it seems that in the "game" there are several tens of millions of dollars that those from Cupertino will pay to be able to offer users premium music selections.
