AT&T wants to improve 4G networks with drones

4G networks from the USA are not as fast as those from Romania and do not offer as good coverage, considering the size of the country, but the mobile operator AT&T imagines a future in which it will be able to use drones to improve 4G connectivity in certain locations, especially in those where events with a large number of people take place.

Basically, AT&T describes a method by which drones could have incorporated devices that could extend the signal of a telephone tower, the idea itself being great because during concerts, football matches, etc., GSM connectivity is extremely bad because many people simultaneously access the same nearby cell phone towers.

Although for now the operator claims that it does not have the necessary technology to improve 4G networks in such situations, a pilot project has been initiated in the USA to test drones that contain such technologies, so in a few years everything will be available to the general public and will offer a better experience using phones.

At the helm of this project is a former employee of the American Air Force, he having extensive experience in controlling drones, but also in terms of the propagation of radio signals around mobile phone towers, so the project will probably be successful and will be officially launched for the general public.

It's temporarily providing enhanced LTE wireless coverage at the packed venue so you, along with thousands of others in attendance, can simultaneously send photos and videos to share the moment.

AT&T is the first mobile operator to discuss the possible use of drones to improve the 4G signal in various areas, but we are talking here about temporary methods to increase the 4G signal in certain locations, the operators being anyway forced to improve their infrastructure in the rest situations.
