Flash – Facebook clones the Snapchat application

Flash is a new application launched by Facebook, it being a clone of Snapchat, developed for developing markets.

Flash is a new application launched by the company Facebook today, representing a new attempt by the American company to clone Snapchat. Although Facebook has so far had two failed attempts to clone the Snapchat application, it is trying again with Flash, but with a different idea compared to what was tried in the past.

More precisely, the Flash application was created especially for developing markets, it has a very small size and is optimized for slow internet networks. In this idea, the sharing of multimedia content will be done with lower internet consumption to allow use with a good experience even in conditions where the internet speed is very low.

Apart from this different thinking, Flash is a clone of Snapchat, offering the same functions for conversations, video calls, or applying masks over photos or videos. The interface of the Flash application is also extremely similar to that of Snapchat, those from Facebook shamelessly copying the creation of the Snapchat company, just like in the past.

Now the hope of those from Facebook is to succeed in gaining as many users as possible in the developing markets, where Snapchat has a small user base. Of course, it's hard to say how successful the Flash application will be, but those at Facebook are trying anyway because they don't really have a choice in trying to compete with Snapchat in the absence of real innovations.

The application will be launched today by Facebook.
