This means that there are chances that at least some of the changes imposed by GEO 114/2018 will be reconsidered, and modified again, so that RCS & RDS, and the rest of the telecom companies, can at least have a "normal" 5G auction.

RCS & RDS. All telecommunications operators complained because the rules imposed by GEO 114/2018 make it extremely difficult to participate in this year's 5G auction, but things could change. If the 1 billion euro limit for licensing 5G frequencies for Romania is removed, then RCS & RDS, and the rest of the telecom operators, will have a much easier mission to buy what interests them, and make the right investments.

No one knows how long it could take until the provisions of GEO 114/2018 could be modified in accordance with the wishes of those from RCS & RDS, and the other companies, but this should happen by the fall so that the auction has place under normal conditions.
