NASA: new ALERT for a new asteroid with a diameter of 4 KM

NASA alerts asteroid diameter

NASA continues to alert the Earth about the dangers coming from outer space, and this time we are talking about a warning made about an asteroid that has a diameter of 4 kilometers, and will come close to the Earth.

NASA chose the name 1998 OR2 for this asteroid, and as it very clearly suggests, the rock was first detected 22 years ago, but was constantly monitored by the Americans to see what kind of danger would represent

NASA claims that the asteroid is moving at a speed of 31.300 km/h towards the Earth at the moment, and considering the diameter, if it were to hit our planet, it would cause destruction on a global scale, but for now there is no such problem.

NASA calculated that April 29 is the day when the asteroid will approach the Earth, for now a distance of 6.29 million kilometers has been calculated, but this is dynamic, and influenced by the interaction with other objects in cosmic space.

NASA is obliged to make alerts of this kind, by the US legislation, especially when it comes to asteroids of such size, even if based on the first calculations they will pass at a great distance in relation to the Earth, which can change up to the moment of final approach.
