Google Maps offers active businesses within its platform the opportunity to notify their visitors if they are affected, or not, by the Coronavirus, and if they have stopped their activity in order not to endanger their employees, or even the potential customers who reach them.
Google Maps it does not have any new functionality implemented for businesses that have control over their listings through Google My Business, but they can change their hours of operation and make mentions in their profile information about their current situation.
Google Maps asks the businesses that are registered on its platform to change their listings to keep people up to date with everything that is happening, but warns them that it is possible that their changes will appear with a delay in both Google Search and Maps.
